What is Open That Bottle Night?

“Whether it’s the only bottle in the house or one bottle among thousands, just about all wine lovers have that very special wine that they always mean to open but never do. This is why ‘Tastings’ columnists Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher invented Open That Bottle Night, the worldwide celebration of friends, family, and memories during which all of us finally drink that wine that is otherwise simply too special to open.”  – Wall Street Journal

Pepper Bridge Winery celebrates #OTBN every year by choosing a special offering from our private library. This year we have a surprise in a big way, we have doubled the offering with a magnum!

Feature Wines

2014 Seven Hills Vineyard
The goal with our vineyard designate blends is to emphasize the personality of each of our estate vineyards and showcase the uniqueness they bring to our wines; this vintage is no exception. 2014 Seven Hills Vineyard has subtle fragrance of ripe red cassis, fennel pollen, and dried tobacco dominate the aromatics. Fresh acidity on the palate accentuates the presence of cranberries, floral tones and Herbes de Provence. A velvety mouthfeel and seamless tannins highlight the elegance of this vineyard, year after year.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L
On the nose the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has pronounced notes of huckleberries and blackberry cobbler spring to mind in this vintage. Subtle notes of leather and spice linger in the background of this wine. Bright tones create energy on the palate and eventually give way to ripe round fruit. Rich tannins make for a delightfully big mouthfeel and hints of spice lead to a lingering finish. Pleasingly dry and will be highly complementary to your meals for years to come.
